Weardale Gazette Annual Magazine

Our annual magazine will be available from 7th December from the usual outlets in Weardale and the surrounding areas.  It is priced at £3.50 and contains lots of interesting features, including the history of St. John’s Chapel; memories of Stanhope Workingmen’s Club; the fossil tree; beekeeping in Weardale; 1954 cricket at Wearhead; recalling the birth of the fire service; the history of the WI; policing Weardale; economic impact of grouse shooting; Frosterley’s oldest resident, Mr. Hume …and lots more.  The cost of postage will be available at a later date.  Our magazine makes a lovely Christmas gift with lots of interesting reading over the Christmas period.
